Book Covers: Series of 3

Consistent with signature collage style and a love for reading and illustration, these are three book covers designed for three of my favorite books. Each cover appropriately gives away few details of the story yet enough to intrigue the audience.

I particularly loved creating these. I got to combine my love of art and reading into one; it took me a day to create the three because the inspiration came so quickly. Maybe the future holds a career combining art and books as well…?

The Dreamer: Final

An unconventional reclining pose painted in a style that branched from Impressionism. The piece has a soft texture with subtle opposite color usage that portrays a dreamlike, tranquil summer day. An odd position coupled with a classic technique sparks interest and question in the piece.

This was an extremely tedious, time-consuming piece, especially for a perfectionist like myself (and no, it’s still not perfect).
