Creativity and Madness

This piece illustrates the saying, “Creativity and madness go hand in hand.” The woman is colorful, drawn with wispy feathered lines and flowers in her hair on a background collaged with sheet music, poetry, and pages of literature. These elements portray the limitless possibilities with creativity. By contrast, the man is drawn harshly with a head of nails, screws, bolts, staples, and other sharp objects on a background of headlines, equations, and error messages. The two meet in the middle, grasping hands above a flower nailed to the board. The harsh contrast fits together neatly in the end.
